My name is Austin Forrester, I’m the founder of Vice City Outdoors. My story began in Texas, not with a business, but with a fishing rod and a dream.

For over sixteen years, fishing has been one of the biggest parts of my life. I’ve spent fourteen of those years competing in bass fishing tournaments, putting in countless hours on the water, chasing the next big bite, and learning everything this sport has to teach me. What started as a passion eventually became something I knew I wanted to build my future around.

While pursuing my passion for fishing, I spent over a decade building a career in the utility and construction industry. I started in the field, learning from the ground up, and eventually worked my way into leadership as an operations supervisor.

I worked hard to build a stable future for my wife, Macey, and our three children. But even with a successful career and a life I was proud of, there was always a dream in the back of my mind that I couldn’t ignore.

After years of balancing my career, family, and competitive fishing, I finally made the decision to chase the dream I’d carried for so long. In January 2027, my family and I are preparing to leave Texas behind and begin a new chapter in South Florida. It’s a leap of faith, leaving the security of everything we’ve known to turn Vice City Outdoors into a full-time fishing business and outdoor brand. We don’t know exactly what the future holds, but we’re ready to give this dream everything we’ve got.
